A LITTLE HISTORY
Laser tag originated in the United States. Legend has it that the inventor of this concept, George Carter, got the idea for these laser battles after seeing Star Wars in 1977. Carter opened the first laser tag arena in 1984 in Texas and named it Photon. Its success was meteoric in the United States. This shooting technology was largely inspired by the military: in 1980, the US Army developed a military training program that used infrared firing coupled with laser aiming. Each player's score is recorded when they hit a target on their opponent.
