A burger born in Kentucky

The smash burger is believed to have originated in Kentucky, USA. Around fifty years ago, restaurant owner Bill Culvertson is said to have created the smash burger after observing one of his employees crush a meat patty during cooking with a can of beans and discovering it was an excellent way to enhance the flavor of a hamburger.
